Maurita Bryant

"You can look at me all you want, but I'm not going anywhere."

In 1975, when the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police first opened to women, Maurita Bryant answered the call. More than 40 years later, Bryant looks back on a successful career in law enforcement, culminating in an appointment as Assistant Chief of Investigations for the Pittsburgh Police and Assistant Superintendent of the Allegheny County Police. Bryant proudly served as the President of the National Organization for Black Law Enforcement Executives from 2012-2013.
